Questions

Reiki FAQs

A few of the questions people ask before their first session.

What should I wear to a session?

Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is best, along with comfortable footwear. Jewellery can be left at home or removed during the treatment.

How long does a session take?

In-person sessions last around 45 minutes. This includes a short chat at the beginning, the treatment itself, and a few quiet moments at the end.

What will I feel during a session?

Most people feel deeply relaxed, and many doze off. Some notice warmth or a gentle tingling, while others simply feel calm and clear-headed afterwards. There is nothing you need to do, and no expectation of a particular experience.

What happens during a Distance Reiki session?

We agree a time and a quiet space for you, and I work with you remotely at that moment. You simply relax wherever you are comfortable.

Can I receive Distance Reiki from anywhere?

Yes. Distance Reiki can be received wherever you are. All you need is a quiet, comfortable place where you can relax without interruption. It is also available for animals, allowing them to remain calm in their familiar surroundings. Find out more about distance Reiki.

Do you offer Reiki for animals?

Animal Reiki is offered remotely, allowing your animal to remain relaxed in familiar surroundings. Reiki complements—but does not replace—veterinary care, and any health concerns should always be assessed by your veterinary surgeon. Read more about distance Reiki.

Does Reiki work alongside medical treatment?

Reiki is a complementary practice that supports wellbeing alongside conventional medical care. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace medical care. If you are under a doctor's care, please continue with your treatment plan and let your doctor know about anything you add.

Is Reiki safe?

Yes. Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive practice with no known adverse effects. It is suitable for people of all ages, and for animals.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends entirely on you. Some people come once out of curiosity; others prefer a regular rhythm. We can talk it through, and there is no obligation to book again.
